Remains of several Tasmanian Tigers have been found in the caves, preserved after the last natural mainland population of the creatures became extinct over 3000 years ago.

In between June and December, an estimated 35,000 whales pass by the southern Western Australian coastline on their annual migration to shallow, warm waters to breed and care for their young.
